We were fortunate enough to have a beautiful Winters day for Denis and Courtney’s wedding day. I have known Denis’ family for many many years, so it was also good for me to see them all again. What better place in Geelong to get married in that St. Mary’s Basilica. Courtney wore a stunning gown by Raffaele Ciuca of Fitzroy. We were fortunate enough to be able to photograph in Courtney’s old school, Geelong College. The architecture of the building made for a stunning backdrop. We then headed off to the Geelong Waterfront, which has a huge array of different spots to photograph couples. Being that it was a bit chilly, the bridal party stopped in at The Edge for a few drinks. I took advantage of this opportunity to get a nice photo of all the bridal party enjoying themselves. I absolutely love that image, everyone laughing and having fun, the way that all my weddings are designed to be! Finally we headed back to the Croatian Centre for the reception.
Thanks Courtney and Denis for choosing me as your wedding photographer and making me part of your special day.
I always enjoy photographing weddings in Melbourne simply because every location can give a totally different feel to a couples final wedding album. Modern architecture on one side of the street and old world, almost gothic on the other. I was fortunate enough to be given that opportunity with Alecia and Mark on their wedding day. After a beautiful service in the Fitzroy Gardens, we moved into the city and started the wedding photography at Federation Square, Flinders Street Station and of also in Hosier Lane. Having allowed themselves plenty of time for their photography, we also had time to pop into the Transport Bar at Federation Square for the bridal party to have a quick drink before moving on to Fenix Receptions. Alecia wore a beautiful gown by Fairytale Bridal. A big thank you to both Alecia and Mark for allowing me to be a part of their special day.
