Geelong Styled Wedding Photography

I was lucky enough to have worked with some very talented ladies over the weekend for a styled wedding photography session. Megan from that blonde chick and Simone from La De Da Events helped in styling a photographic session. It was kind of a chance for all of us to try something new without the pressure of an actual wedding day. There are many times when I would love to try something new, but a wedding isn’t the right place to be experimenting! So over the next few weeks, you’ll be seeing the results of the shoot. As always, Megans hair styles just blew me away. A mega talented stylist whom I can recommend to any bride to be.  So this was a little bit different for me as usually I include the groom as much as I can on an actual wedding day, but this was all about the bride! Also a big thanks to the girls who helped make the day happen, Imogen and Emily..great brides and to Secrets Jewellery of Melbourne for supplying the jewellery for the girls. They’re in the Royal Arcade for anyone wanting to see their stunning range of jewellery. By the way, it was good of the Geelong Advertiser to runs  short story on our shoot today!!

Geelong Photography – Wedding

A while ago I started posting my “Photo of the day”. As it turned out, I found that especially for weddings, there was so many nice photos that I wanted to post, and not enough days in the week to post! So I thought that alongside Photo of the day, I might just start Wedding video of the week. The majority of my weddings are in Geelong, but I thought I’d start today with Alecia and Mark’s Melbourne wedding. We all had some great ideas about where we would go after their service for their wedding photography session. I think you’d agree that their album is nothing short of stunning. I hope you enjoy viewing this clip as much as I enjoyed photographing their very special day.

Jessica & John

We had such a beautiful day for John and Jessica’s wedding. Jessica was dressed in an absolutely beautiful dress, classic and timeless with a cathedral veil, perfect for her wedding photography!! I must admit, when I first asked her and she told me the kind of veil she was having, I had a rush of ideas of where we would photograph! The couple married at St. Marys Cathedral. I always enjoy weddings there as the Church has a certain feel about it on a wedding day. Now normally here I would let everyone know the locations that we went to for their wedding photos in and around Geelong,  but I am going to keep a couple of these to myself because they are just too good to give up! So I’ll just say that we spent the afternoon in and around Geelong having a great time photographing and just having fun. We finished the day at Capri Receptions where Angelo and his team served up some amazing food for all of us to enjoy. Thanks to John and Jessica for making me a part of your special day!!

Fiona-Maree & Nicholas

A beautiful and classically styled wedding was in store for me when I photographed Nicholas and Fiona-Maree’s wedding. Like a true love story, every detail of the wedding was planned and the scene was set for the love story to fall into place. Fiona-Maree wore a stunning gown by Fairytale Bridal while her flowers were the clever creation of Beachside Blooms. I must say that I have photographed many weddings where Beachside Blooms have supplied the flowers and they have always been spectacular creations. The wedding took place at Sacred Heart Chapel in Geelong. Being that it is very close to the city, we were able to use a few different locations for Nicholas and Fiona-Maree’s wedding photography. We soon headed down to the Vue Grand in Queenscliffe where the reception took place.

A big thank you to both Nicholas and Fiona-Maree for letting me be a part of their very special wedding day.

Mark & Alecia

I always enjoy photographing weddings in Melbourne simply because every location can give a totally different feel to a couples final wedding album. Modern architecture on one side of the street and old world, almost gothic on the other.  I was fortunate enough to be given that opportunity with Alecia and Mark on their wedding day. After a beautiful service in the Fitzroy Gardens, we moved into the city and started the wedding photography at Federation Square, Flinders Street Station and of also in Hosier Lane. Having allowed themselves plenty of time for their photography, we also had time to pop into the Transport Bar at Federation Square for the bridal party to have a quick drink before moving on to Fenix Receptions.  Alecia wore a beautiful gown by Fairytale Bridal. A big thank you to both Alecia and Mark for allowing me to be a part of their special day.
